Is our state representative doing more to solidify his career as an attorney?

October 6, 2010

Now I spent just about 30 minutes online researching this at one state website. All these bills were acted upon during the 2009 year and I don’t have time to look at other years or look into a bunch of bills from different years but doesn’t this raise an eyebrow?

I mean consider that each bill naturally increases Mr. Faison’s career prospects as an Injury Attorney and the likelihood he’ll make more money in the future? Now I can’t prove that this is his sole motive for doing this but what more logical explanation is there? See for yourself, and please I’d love to hear opposing arguments.

Here’s Mr. Faison (House Bill 989) as a co-sponsor of one in which they are making sure all employees and/or contractors have plenty of liability (aka injury) insurance:

Or this one (House Bill 1226) that Mr. Faison is a primary sponsor that is ended in extending further the statute of time that someone can sue for injury, etc. from the result of a product:

And then there’s the one (House Bill 82) Mr. Faison is a primary sponsor of that states: “An act to increase the mandatory liability insurance requirements for certain motor vehicles and to make conforming changes to the general statutes” http://www.ncga.state.nc.us/gascripts/BillLookUp/BillLookUp.pl?Session=2009&BillID=H82

Then there’s my favorite that Mr. Faison is a primary sponsor of ( House Bill 29) that once again increases the available payout of uninsured and underinsured motorist insurance payments “the highest limit available under the underinsured motorist coverage available under that person’s policy or policies for a total limit that is the sum of both coverage limits so that the claimant receives the full benefit of both coverages.”

As many may know by now Mr. Faison is a multi-millionaire yet he’s an assemblyman so you must ask why someone who is a multi-millionaire would work for about $14,000 a year: (as of 1997) ? http://www.ncga.state.nc.us/NCGAInfo/educational/funfacts/legpaysum.html

For me the choice is easy, something tells me this man is not running primarily for what the people want but for what is best for his career as a personal injury attorney. Sorry Mr. Faison but my vote must go to your opponent.
